Focus on Core Competencies and Efficient Structures

ZAHORANSKY AG is reviewing further measures to safeguard its long-term competitiveness and future viability in Germany. The background to this is the persistently challenging market environment in mechanical and plant engineering, which is reflected in particular in restrained investment activity, delayed project decisions and intense international competition.
The focus of the considerations is on sharpening the company’s strategic focus, consolidating competencies and eliminating duplicate structures within the organization.
The Todtnau and Freiburg sites remain important parts of the ZAHORANSKY Group and are to be maintained and strengthened over the long term.
The planned measures are intended to create the conditions for systematically expanding the respective strengths of the sites and sustainably safeguarding their competitiveness.
As part of the ongoing review, up to 120 positions at the German sites could be affected. The specific measures will be developed jointly with the works councils. The aim is to implement the measures in as socially responsible a manner as possible.
