Your Responsibilities
- Creation and implementation of purchasing strategies to achieve objectives in collaboration with the scheduling department
- Development and implementation of supplier management in the responsible product groups
- Conducting market and price analyses for production series and in new product developments/further developments of existing products
- Further development of the existing supplier portfolio including the identification and qualification of new sources of supply
- Tendering and awarding of contracts as well as conducting price and contract negotiations
- Monitoring of ratio measures in collaboration with related departments, e.g. R&D, production, etc.
- Regular reporting on the responsible product group(s)
The suitable requirements are:
- Completed technical or business studies in the field of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or comparable degree programs
- Several years of professional experience in (strategic) purchasing
- Strong technical understanding
- Excellent communication skills and negotiation prowess
- Enjoyment in the design and implementation of strategic purchasing in mechanical engineering
- Proficient handling of MS Office
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken
- Resilience, teamwork, and assertiveness with cross-departmental and entrepreneurial thinking
