Your tasks
- Development and implementation of purchasing strategies to achieve goals in collaboration with the planning department
- Development and implementation of supplier management in the responsible categories
- Conducting market and price analyses in series and for new product developments / further developments of existing products
- Further development of the existing supplier portfolio, including identification and qualification of new sources
- Tendering and awarding contracts as well as leading price and contract negotiations
- Monitoring of ratio measures in collaboration with adjacent departments, e.g. R&D, production, etc.
- Regular reporting on the responsible category/categories
The suitable qualifications are:
- Completed technical or business degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or comparable fields of study
- Several years of professional experience in (strategic) purchasing
- Strong technical understanding
- Excellent communication skills and negotiating skills
- Enjoyment in conceptualizing and implementing strategic purchasing in mechanical engineering
- Proficient in MS Office
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken
- Resilience, team spirit, and assertiveness with cross-functional and entrepreneurial thinking
