You can expect the following tasks:
- Creation and testing of machine-specific control programs
- Customize and test custom software solutions using test controls before implementation in existing machines at the customer
- Creation of software design documents (flowchart)
- Preparing a template for visualization and contribute to developing operator functions
- Ensure and test the full functionality of the machine. Commissioning of third-party devices (camera system, printer, code reader, laser) as well as their operation in cooperation with the electrical and design group, manufacturer etc.
- Analysis of faults and fault correction for the entire machine area of standard systems
- Develop and implement programming standards for automation as well as the schematics and electrical control system to automate processes
- Evaluate current and manual processes to determine the process and equipment requirements needed to support automation
- Prepare all engineering documentation and specifications required to ensure successful implementation of assigned projects verifies the correct operation of systems and sequence
- Introduce programming improvements in controls and logic systems that are consistent with customer changes or manufacturing needs
- Maintain frequent communication with mechanical and controls design personnel, as well as with a manufacturing person throughout the entire programming, dressing and tryout phases of installation and in site and on site installation commissioning
The suitable prerequisites are:
- At least 3-4 years of experience in automation & PLC programming field, Experience in B&R PLC preferred
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field
- PLC technical certification
- Knowledge in Syntax according to ANSI C++ standard and Knowledge in Use of all Automation Runtime libraries (functions and function blocks)
- Must have a strong understanding of the electrical, mechanical, and software engineering principles needed to create and maintain automated processes In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and mechanical processes
- Knowledge of software design principals, Proficiency in SPS Programming Software
- Detailed knowledge of PLC automation software and coding languages
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel when required
- Interpreting technical documents and manufacturer’s instructions
- Positive attitude to support company policies and must be able to maintain a high-morale environment
- Must be able to adapt to change in the workplace and demonstrate flexibility with new ideas and different environments
- Must be able to train others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization skills and need to have excellent problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality
- Good knowledge of English
