- Wire cutting, electrical discharge machining and high-speed milling
- Basic craftsmanship: drilling, turning, milling, cutting
- Creation of programs as well as the manufacturing and processing of workpieces on numerically controlled machine tools
- Production of form-giving tool surfaces
- Planning and manufacturing of the technical systems of toolmaking
- Modification and adaptation of the technical systems of toolmaking
- Materials science, occupational safety and environmental protection
The appropriate qualifications are:
- Secondary school leaving certificate, intermediate school certificate or equivalent qualification
