- Basic craftsmanship: drilling, turning, milling, chip removal
- Creation of programs as well as production and processing of workpieces on numerically controlled machine tools
- Production of forming tool surfaces
- Design and production of technical systems for toolmaking
- Modification and adaptation of technical systems for toolmaking
- Materials science, occupational safety and environmental protection
The required qualifications are:
- Secondary school leaving certificate, intermediate school certificate or equivalent qualification
